Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Specialist in Auburn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and communication. • Day: Thur 11:30 AM - 11:30 PM
  Fri 11:30 AM - 11:30 PM
  Sat 11:30 AM - 11:30 PM

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and shoppers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the sales floor, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, high-traffic areas, and store property for policy violations, suspicious behavior, and/or potential loss concerns, escalating issues according to site procedures.
• Support a professional environment at the location by providing directions, assisting with customer inquiries, and reinforcing site rules in a courteous manner.

Minimum Requirements

• A New York State Security Guard License is required.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Licensing Requirements

Licenses are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
