Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Specialist

About the role

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Specialist in Newark, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare environment.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify potential concerns.
• Maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support staff, visitors, and patients with outstanding customer service and communication.
• Support a professional atmosphere by assisting staff, patients, and visitors with directions, information, and/or security-related concerns while maintaining awareness of changing conditions at the location.

Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of security procedures and emergency response protocols.
