About the role
As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a public transportation location in Seattle, WA, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally with passengers and staff, and contribute to a welcoming environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to passengers, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a public transportation location.
- Respond to incidents, service disruptions, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random foot and vehicle patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, buildings, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points, observe activity throughout assigned areas, and report unusual conditions, hazards, and policy violations according to site procedures.
- Document incidents, patrol activities, and daily observations accurately and maintain a professional presence while interacting with the public.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of security-related experience.
- At least 21 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- State, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- Valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
