About the role
As an unarmed patrol officer at a premier retail and mall location in Miami, FL, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to guests, tenants, and staff. You will support a welcoming environment through clear communication, teamwork, and integrity while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and caring culture.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, retailers, and staff by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout retail common areas, storefronts, parking areas, loading zones, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Observe and report suspicious activity, property concerns, access-control issues, and policy violations to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
- Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
- Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and patrol records while communicating professionally with site management and local responders as needed.
Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
