Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Operations

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a logistics and distribution location in Champaign, IL, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, monitor assigned areas, and report security-related concerns. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a team-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, access points, and perimeter to identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access to the property, observe personnel and vehicle movement, and follow site procedures for visitor, contractor, and delivery verification.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities according to site policies.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required logs related to patrols, incidents, access activity, and security-related concerns.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

$18.75 per hour

• Tuesday: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Friday: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM
• Saturday: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM
• Sunday: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM
