Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Operations

About the role

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Operations in South Bend, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas at a logistics-focused location, maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents. You will support access control and badge processes, respond to security-related concerns, and provide exceptional customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business location and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation.

Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licenses required may vary based on state and/or local laws and regulations.
• A valid driver's license may be required for driving positions only.
