Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Monitoring

About the role

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Monitoring in Portland, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor assigned areas, and report security-related concerns. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting site operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate within a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and notification procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, access points, restricted areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor and report potential hazards, equipment concerns, access-control issues, and other security-related observations to appropriate site personnel.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and patrol records in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Requirements

• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
