About the role
As an Unarmed Security Officer at a financial institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. You will support a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and customers while responding to security-related concerns with professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials in accordance with site procedures, and document visitor activity at a financial institution location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to established protocols.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, including business areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and security-related activities.
Requirements
- Have at least one year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
