Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Driver Clearance Required

About the role

As a Security Officer at a leading aerospace and defense location in McKinney, TX, you will conduct routine unarmed patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a secure environment. This driving position involves professional communication, customer service, and timely reporting of security-related concerns.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and authorized vendors at an aerospace and defense location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations, reporting unusual conditions and security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials in accordance with site procedures, and assist with visitor and contractor entry requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting protocols.
• Complete required activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation while communicating relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• An active DoD Secret clearance.
• A valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet (preferred).
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds (preferred).
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
