Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Driver

About the role

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Driver in Roanoke, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine driving and foot patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, sales floor, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, observe customer and employee interactions, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Support loss prevention and store operations by maintaining a visible presence, assisting with access control practices, and following post orders related to security-related incidents and customer concerns.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
