About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology location in Menlo Park, CA, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, support access control, and respond to security-related concerns. You will deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture with teamwork and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and guests at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, building perimeters, parking areas, entry points, and other assigned locations to identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, documenting observations and reporting access concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical events, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Prepare accurate activity reports and incident documentation, communicate relevant information to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership, and maintain a professional presence throughout the location.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• At least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or a college degree.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Guard card or license is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$27.00 / hour

Schedule

• Part-time
• Friday: 11:00 PM - 07:30 AM
• Saturday: 11:00 PM - 07:30 AM
