About the role
As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Credential Review in Olive Branch, MS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and provide outstanding customer service. Using communication skills and technology tools, you will help create a welcoming, secure environment while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and integrity-driven culture through teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access to designated areas, verify visitor and contractor authorization in accordance with site procedures, and report access-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
- Document observations, patrol activity, incidents, and maintenance or security-related concerns accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
Requirements
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
