About the role

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Coverage in East Alton, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout production areas, warehouses, parking areas, and the perimeter, noting unusual activity and helping to deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access as directed by site policies, and support visitor, contractor, and delivery processing in accordance with location requirements.
• Communicate with employees, visitors, and site representatives regarding security-related procedures, escalating maintenance issues, hazards, and/or suspicious activity through proper channels.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licenses are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
