Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with supervisors and/or local responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, unsecured areas, and/or potential hazards.
• Monitor entrances, hallways, waiting areas, and other healthcare location access points to help support authorized access and direct visitors according to site procedures.
• Assist with security-related incident reporting, routine rounds, and requests for assistance while maintaining a professional presence in a healthcare environment.

Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
