Security Officer Unarmed Patrol
About the role
Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail distribution location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and communication.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out assigned security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations and actions taken according to site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including sales floor areas, loading and receiving zones, parking areas, and perimeter access points, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas while checking for unusual conditions, access concerns, and/or policy violations, and report findings to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Support loss prevention and operational goals by observing customer and employee activity, assisting with access control, and communicating clearly with management and/or emergency responders when needed.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
