Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide welcoming customer service to patients, visitors, and staff. You will communicate clearly, respond to security-related needs, and support a caring environment through teamwork and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while communicating with appropriate hospital personnel and emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facility buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions or policy concerns.
• Assist with access control activities, visitor directions, and monitoring of entrances, exits, and restricted areas in accordance with location procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and security-related activities, and promptly communicate relevant information to site leadership.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Pay

$21.42 / hour

Schedule

• Monday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Friday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Saturday: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sunday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
