Security Officer Unarmed Patrol

About the role

As an Unarmed Security Officer in Joplin, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and support access activity with strong customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through appropriate communication channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout offices, production areas, common spaces, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and/or credential procedures to deter unauthorized entry while supporting site protocols and daily operations.
• Support Allied Universal and site leadership by preparing incident reports, sharing relevant updates, and assisting with security-related responses during shifts as needed.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

$15.68 / hour
