Security Officer Unarmed Patrol

About the role

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol in Albany, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with exceptional customer service and communication. You will contribute to access control and response activities while embodying Allied Universal's agile, reliable, innovative, and caring culture through teamwork and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, healthcare facility policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, patient or visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns to appropriate hospital personnel and Allied Universal supervision.
• Document observations, incidents, and actions taken in accordance with site procedures and applicable reporting requirements.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Preferred skills

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfortable use of a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

• Pay Rate: $15.00 / Hour
• Position Type: Full Time
• Schedule: Day Time - Mon 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM, Tue 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM, Thur 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM, Sat 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM, Sun 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
