Security Officer Unarmed Full Time Multiple Shifts

About the Role

As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Access Control in Roanoke, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. Deliver exceptional customer service while communicating professionally with employees, visitors, and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter to identify unusual activity and deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized personnel and visitors, and maintain required logs and reports.
• Observe and report hazards, damaged property, suspicious activity, and policy violations to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Possession of a Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with applicable laws.
• Licensing requirements may apply based on state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Pay

Pay Rate: $16.20 / Hour

Wed: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
Thu: 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
Fri: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
Sat: 02:30 PM - 10:30 PM
