Security Officer Unarmed Entry Level

About the role

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Detail in Ruther Glen, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or drivers by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and appropriate emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout loading areas, warehouse spaces, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or delivery information as directed by site policies, and report discrepancies, hazards, and maintenance concerns to the appropriate contact.
• Support daily operations by observing trailer yards, dock areas, and high-traffic zones, while maintaining awareness of post orders and reporting security-related incidents in a timely manner.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licenses requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
