Security Officer Unarmed Electric

About the role

Apart from serving and safeguarding clients in various industries such as Utilities, you will be part of a dynamic, welcoming, and collaborative team contributing to positive community impact.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to the appropriate site contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related issues.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify access permissions as directed by site policies, and report suspicious behavior, damaged barriers, and/or maintenance concerns that could affect location operations.
• Support operational continuity by communicating clearly with site personnel, following post orders, and assisting with incident response, evacuations, and/or restricted area control when needed.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Guard card is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Skills

• Computer skills are preferred.
• Access control and badge systems experience is preferred.
