Security Officer Unarmed Driver Patrol Specialist

About the role

Join Allied Universal at a dynamic education location as an unarmed patrol professional. In this driving post, you will conduct routine patrols across campus areas, respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations, monitor access points, observe visitor and student activity, and report maintenance concerns, policy violations, and suspicious behavior.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting relevant details and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout campus buildings, walkways, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, observe visitor and student activity, and report maintenance concerns, policy violations, and/or suspicious behavior according to site protocols.
• Support a professional environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors by offering directions, answering questions, and communicating clearly with campus contacts and first responders when needed.

Requirements

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Have supervisory experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licenses are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
