Security Officer Unarmed Downtown Full Time

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at utility‑related locations by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of utility facilities, buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual conditions and support site operations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site‑specific procedures, documenting entries, incidents, and observations as required.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, contacting appropriate site representatives and/or emergency services when needed.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, and security‑related activities, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site personnel.

Minimum Requirements

• Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds (preferred).
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 + years for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of a background investigation in compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Consideration of criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Drug screening as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements subject to state and/or local regulations; may be required prior to employment.

Pay

$17.50 per hour

Schedule

• Monday: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
• Tuesday: 5:00 PM – 1:00 AM
• Wednesday: 5:00 PM – 1:00 AM
• Thursday: 5:00 PM – 1:00 AM
• Sunday: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
