Security Officer Unarmed Day Shift Weekends

About the role

As an Unarmed Security Officer on the Day Shift (Weekends) in York, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Logistics & Distribution. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents. Responsibilities include supporting access control, communicating professionally with employees and visitors, and documenting observations using technology.

This is a part-time position offering flexibility through our Claim a Shift platform, allowing you to build a schedule that works for you.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, delivery-related issues, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of warehouse areas, loading docks, trailer yards, parking areas, entry points, and the facility perimeter.
• Monitor access points and visitor, employee, and contractor activity in accordance with site procedures to deter unauthorized access.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using a computer or tablet.
• Access control and badge experience.
• Customer service experience.

Pay

$17.50 / hour

Schedule

• Part-time, weekend shifts: 06:00 AM – 02:00 PM (Saturday and Sunday).
