Security Officer Unarmed Credential Authentication

About the Role

Allied Universal is seeking a Part‑Time Security Officer (Unarmed Credential Authentication) in Royal Palm Beach, FL. You will serve and safeguard clients in retail and mall environments, providing a welcoming and secure atmosphere by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, managing visitor access, and responding to security‑related concerns. The position offers flexibility through the “Claim a Shift” platform.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, tenants, and vendors while carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, manage visitor and vendor sign‑in procedures, and maintain accurate access‑related records.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of common areas, parking areas, entrances, and the property perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Observe activity throughout the location and report policy violations, maintenance concerns, or unusual conditions according to site procedures.

Requirements

• At least one year of security‑related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Guard card or security‑related license (state, county, or city‑issued) required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles).
• CPR certification preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Background investigation and drug screening as required by law.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Pay

$18.00 per hour

Schedule

Daytime – Saturday 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM; Sunday 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
