Job Requirements
- Possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional, effective manner
- Possess excellent customer service skills
- Have intermediate computer skills to operate Windows, Excel, Word, cell phones, Access Control Systems, and CCTV systems
- Ability to handle crisis situations calmly and efficiently
Licensure / Certification
- Department of Public Safety Standard and Training (DPSST) Unarmed Security Officer training required within 30 days of hire.
- As a condition of employment and DPSST licensure, employee must successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- For DPSST unarmed security license, a high school diploma or GED and valid driver’s license are required.
- Valid driver’s license will be submitted and maintained by the department manager.
Education And/or Experience
- Prior security, military, or police experience preferred
Physical Demands and Work Environment Conditions / ADA Compliance
- Must Be Able To Work in various environments such as cold weather, rain, snow, or heat.
- Occasionally lift or carry up to 50 lbs
- Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift
- Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time
- Ability to assist in lifting patients as needed either to assist nursing staff, law enforcement, etc.
