About the role

As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a government port location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide professional customer service and clear communication. You will support a welcoming environment while responding to concerns and reporting observations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and/or commercial drivers by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access control requirements, and emergency response activities at a government transportation facility.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, parking locations, access points, and waterfront-adjacent areas, reporting unusual conditions or potential hazards.
• Monitor and document access activity, verify credentials as required, and direct authorized visitors and deliveries in accordance with site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and complete required reports.
• Maintain accurate daily activity logs and incident documentation while communicating professionally with site personnel, visitors, and responding public agencies.

Requirements

• Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
