About the role
As a Security Officer Patrol and Access Control in Plainfield, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store associates by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail sales floor, stock areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and observe store activity for unusual conditions, reporting security-related concerns and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
- Document incidents, patrol observations, and other security-related activities according to site procedures and Allied Universal requirements.
Requirements
- Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Able to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
