About the role
Security and Transportation Professionals are charged with the safety and security of Doctors, Nurses, patients, and staff while on sites owned and operated by the Hospital District as well as under the direction of the Transportation Director.
Responsibilities
- Assume overall responsibility for the safety and security of designated areas by patrolling, identifying security needs, completing incident reports, and responding to incidents accordingly
- Patrol designated areas following outlined security procedures
- Identify potential security risks and respond accordingly
- Complete incident reports and required documentation for all security incidents
- Ensure all employees and visitors have proper credentials for accessing buildings (ID badges and visitor passes)
- Respond to emergencies and incidents within designated facilities promptly and according to policy
- Assist employees and visitors with any concerns they might have
- Escalate emergencies to law enforcement as needed
- Monitor alarms and security cameras
- Perform transportation duties based on need, including safely operating vehicles ranging from regular-sized passenger cars to ambulances and mobile doctors' office clinics (42-46 feet in length)
Requirements
- A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must obtain a valid security guard card in California within 3 months of employment
- Valid California Driver’s License and a clean DMV record
- Overnight and weekend shifts are required
- Must be flexible in work schedule assignments
