Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and/or other critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report relevant details according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, buildings, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
• Monitor public areas and access points, observe passenger and visitor activity, and communicate with supervisors, local authorities, and/or site contacts regarding security-related concerns.
• Support a professional presence at a government transportation location by assisting with directions, answering general questions, and documenting incidents, observations, and/or daily activities.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Must be willing to complete two weeks of training and pass.
• Candidates must be available to successfully complete two weeks of paid training before working independently and must pass a pre-employment urinalysis drug screening as a condition of employment.
