This Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position is a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career with the industry leader. As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Credential Issuance in Plainfield, IN, this role provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay

$17.77 / hour

Schedule

• Fixed-shift commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: Pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours one week and full-time the next—up to 40 hours per week—with the option to scale back when needed.
• Example shift: Thursday, 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points at a logistics and distribution location, verify identification and authorization, and control entry and exit in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, vehicle, and delivery records, including issuing and collecting access credentials as directed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and communicate observations to appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access areas, loading zones, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
