What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a shelter location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing relevant information with site contacts according to post instructions.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including interior areas, common spaces, and perimeter areas, to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify authorized access when required, and report maintenance concerns, rule violations, and/or suspicious behavior through proper communication channels.
• Support a respectful environment by providing visible presence, giving directions, assisting with de-escalation when appropriate, and following Allied Universal and site-specific security-related procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
