Security Officer - Swing Shift

About the role

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Operations in Fort Wayne, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. You will communicate professionally with employees and visitors, report observations, and support a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, offices, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, unauthorized access attempts, hazards, and/or policy violations according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and activity logs documenting patrols, incidents, observations, and follow-up actions.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
