Security Officer - Swing Shift
About the role
Join Allied Universal at a dynamic commercial real estate location, where you will manage access control, monitor activity, and support a welcoming environment through strong communication and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and staff by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and help to deter unauthorized access at the location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting security-related concerns and reporting them through established procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the building, common areas, and perimeter to identify unusual activity and support security-related operations.
- Communicate with property management, tenants, and/or emergency personnel regarding incidents, access concerns, and daily activity at the location.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
