Security Officer - Swing Shift

As a Security Officer Screening Technician in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and/or employees by carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a busy logistics and distribution location.
• Screen people, packages, and/or personal items entering or leaving the location in accordance with post orders and client-directed protocols, and report unusual findings to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with supervisors, local contacts, and/or emergency personnel as needed.
• Maintain a visible presence that helps reduce security-related incidents by monitoring entry points, shipping and receiving areas, and other designated access locations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, observing for security-related concerns, facility issues, and/or policy violations within warehouse and distribution environments.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• At least 21 years of age.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Must pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Must be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
