About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a public transportation location in Brooklyn, NY, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while working collaboratively with team members.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a public transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and notification procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, entrances, surrounding areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, unattended property, facility hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control, visitor direction, and crowd management activities as assigned, while maintaining a professional presence.

Requirements

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Comply with licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations, which may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
