Security Officer State Offices

About the role

Allied Universal is hiring a Full Time Security Officer for a State building in Chelsea, MA. You will serve and safeguard clients in government and other industries by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to deter incidents, and providing exceptional customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and government personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, public inquiries, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of government facilities, surrounding grounds, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor screening, credential verification, and controlled entry procedures in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation, and communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$21.35 per hour.

Schedule

• Monday – Friday: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Paid orientation and paid training.
