About the role
As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government transportation location in Quincy, MA, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service to employees and visitors. You will communicate clearly, respond professionally to site needs, and document observations while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture with integrity and teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at transportation-related government locations.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, parking areas, access points, roadways, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access to assigned areas, verify credentials as directed, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and report access concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents, traffic-related concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures and contacting emergency services when needed.
- Prepare accurate reports and activity logs, communicate observations to site leadership and Allied Universal management, and support a professional environment for the public and staff.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Pay
Starting pay is $21.50 per hour.
Schedule
- Saturday - Wednesday
- 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM
