As a Screener supporting a government location, you will help maintain a welcoming, controlled environment by screening visitors, monitoring access points, and reporting security-related concerns. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and use technology to support daily operations. Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
- Screen individuals and belongings using assigned screening equipment and established procedures, escalating prohibited items, access concerns, and unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
- Verify identification, credentials, and authorization for entry in accordance with site requirements, maintaining accurate visitor and screening-related records.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and notification procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, entrances, and surrounding perimeter to help identify and report security-related concerns.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Qualifications
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
Pay
Starting pay is $23.00 per hour.
Schedule
- Friday: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Saturday: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
- Sunday: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
