Security Officer Site Observation
About the role
As a Security Officer Site Observation in Blythewood, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Patrol Officer at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout manufacturing areas, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor entry and exit activity, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate logs and reports in accordance with site requirements.
- Observe and report hazards, equipment concerns, property damage, and other security-related issues to the appropriate site contacts.
Requirements
- Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Possess at least 2 years of law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of security protocols and emergency response procedures.
