About the role
As a Security Officer – Site Monitoring in Spartanburg, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom. You will monitor access points, conduct routine patrols, and help maintain a secure environment while providing exceptional customer service and supporting security-related loss prevention efforts using computer or tablet-based tools.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a technology, media, or telecommunications location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of the business, access points, common areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or site concerns.
- Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate activity records.
- Support a professional environment by communicating clearly with employees, visitors, vendors, and Allied Universal leadership.
Requirements
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
