Security Officer - Site Monitor - Part Time

About the role

As a Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer in Reno, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in the technology, media, and telecommunications industry. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, report security-related concerns, and provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior spaces, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and the business perimeter to identify unusual conditions and deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor credentials according to site procedures, and report access concerns or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation protocols.
• Prepare accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoffs while maintaining professional communication with Allied Universal leadership and client representatives.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws (qualified applicants with criminal histories considered consistent with applicable laws).
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations (may be required prior to employment).
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

$24.00 per hour.

Schedule

• Thursday: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• Friday: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
