Security Officer - Shopping Plaza Part Time Patrol

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail and mall location in Oceanside, CA, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, tenants, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail and mall common areas, parking areas, business locations, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, observe visitor and vendor activity, and report unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, or policy violations to site management.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required daily activity logs in accordance with site procedures.

Requirements

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

$20.50 / Hour

• Thursday: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Friday: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Saturday: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
