Security Officer Shopping Center - Full Time

About the role

Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location in Saint Paul, MN. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support a welcoming customer experience, and communicate professionally with shoppers, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to customers, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while communicating with store leadership and applicable emergency personnel.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the retail location, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe activity within the location, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations according to established procedures.
• Complete detailed and accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications as required.

Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
