Security Officer - Shopping Center - Full Time

About the role

As a Security Officer in Roseville, MN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional at a retail location, you will be a welcoming, highly visible presence, greeting visitors, managing access, monitoring activity, and responding to security-related concerns. You will deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while helping to deter incidents.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to visitors, tenants, shoppers, and staff at the front desk of a retail and mall location while following site-specific procedures and policies.
• Monitor access to the location, greet and direct visitors, verify credentials as required, and maintain accurate visitor logs and related records.
• Answer incoming calls, provide general information and directions, and communicate requests or concerns to appropriate site personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Assist with reporting suspicious activity, maintaining awareness of front desk activity, and helping to deter unauthorized access or inappropriate conduct.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
