Security Officer - Shopping Center

About the role

As a Security Officer - Shopping Center in Gresham, OR, you will serve and safeguard clients in retail/mall environments. This unarmed patrol position requires a valid driver’s license and involves conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to deter incidents, supporting access control, and providing outstanding customer service to shoppers, tenants, and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail common areas, parking areas, building exteriors, and perimeter locations to identify and report unusual conditions or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document events according to site procedures.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location to deter unauthorized access, theft-related activity, and other security-related concerns.
• Maintain detailed daily activity reports and incident documentation, communicating relevant information to site management, law enforcement, and/or Allied Universal leadership as directed.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license (required for this driving post in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy).
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
• CPR certification (preferred).
• Customer service experience (preferred).
• Access control and badge experience (preferred).
• Loss prevention experience (preferred).

Pay

$18.75 per hour.

• Monday: 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM
• Tuesday: 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM
• Wednesday: 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM
• Saturday: 02:00 PM – 10:00 PM
• Sunday: 02:00 PM – 10:00 PM
