Security Officer Shelter Fireguard Patrols

About the role

As a Part-Time Security Officer, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries in Brooklyn, NY. This unarmed patrol role offers flexibility to build a schedule that works for you and the opportunity to explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, staff, and program participants by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, surrounding grounds, entrances, exits, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization in accordance with site procedures, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Help maintain a welcoming and professional environment while communicating observations, hazards, and security-related concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Requirements

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Be 21 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet (preferred).
• CPR and/or First Aid Certification (preferred).
• Subject to a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
• For driving positions, a valid driver’s license is required.

Pay

$18.87 / hour

• Tuesday: 08:00 AM - 12:00 PM
• Friday: 08:00 AM - 12:00 PM
• Saturday: 08:00 AM - 12:00 PM
• Sunday: 08:00 AM - 12:00 PM
