Security Officer (Security Guard)

About the role

A Security Guard contributes to AHF by being responsible for protecting the company’s assets and ensuring the safety of its staff, tenants, contractors, guests and visitors at AHF’s sites, including Healthy Housing (HHF) properties.

Responsibilities

• Leverage security training to implement strategies that protect personnel and assets (including inventory of donations).
• Coordinate and oversee the in-house Security Guards Team.
• Ensure AHF Core Values and Mission are top of mind by performing duties in a friendly, professional, and disciplined manner.
• Recognize and respond to potentially dangerous situations in the safest and most effective manner.
• Work as part of a close-knit team to establish and maintain working relationships with Healthy Housing operational staff to ensure a safe and secure environment.
• Utilize the existing Safety and Security Incident Reporting System to submit detailed reports regarding events and situations that occur while on duty.
• Adapt to various situations and be flexible to add consistent value to AHF/HHF.

Qualifications

To be successful as a Security Guard, you should have:

• Training in security.
• Full responsibility for implementing policies and procedures.
• Experience in a similar role.
• Ability to recognize and respond to potentially dangerous situations.
• Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.
• Attention to detail and ability to document events accurately.
