Security Officer Security Clearance Patrol

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic aerospace and defense location in Rochester, NY, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. You will support access control and incident reporting while using technology to document activities. This part-time position offers flexibility with the ability to build a schedule that works for you and explore additional shifts through the Claim a Shift platform.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at an aerospace and defense location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access to controlled areas, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as required.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and patrol logs in accordance with site-specific requirements.

Requirements

• An active DoD Secret Clearance is required.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Part-time, Monday through Friday, 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM
