About the Role

Receives general direction from the Security Manager, Supervisor, or Lead Security Officer and performs a variety of security protective duties to protect patients, visitors, staff, physicians, property, and facilities from accidents, bodily harm, fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry.

Responsibilities

  • Protect patients, visitors, staff, physicians, property, and facilities from accidents, bodily harm, fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry.

Requirements

  • Upon hire: Oregon Private Security Armed/Unarmed Professional certification from the Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training or
  • Upon hire: Oregon Private Security Unarmed Professional certification from the Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training
  • Upon hire: Private Security Temporary Work Permit (PS-20)
  • Driving may be necessary; must comply with all state laws and provide proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request.
  • 1 year of experience using personal computer with standard Microsoft applications.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1 year of security/law enforcement experience (e.g., corrections, police, reserve, military police)
  • Direct patient care experience in a healthcare industry (preferred)
  • College-level coursework in criminal justice, social work, psychology, or related social sciences (preferred)

Pay

The base pay range for this position is $22.44 - $34.33 per hour. Additional compensation may be available, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

Schedule

Full-time, night shift.
